Planning for the Future of Architecture

Children in Albuquerque and Bernalillo County are heading back to school this year with new tools on how to “Build a Better World” after a successful summer program series.

By supporting the Albuquerque-Bernalillo County Public Library‘s 2017 Summer Reading Program  (June 3-July 29), the Foundation was able to teach teens and tweens about architectural concepts. These one-hour classes about architecture were held at various libraries in the Albuquerque area. Numerous Foundation volunteers helped instruct the sessions, with local architect Steve Dixon organizing the 10 sessions.

“Thank you to Steve for all his excellent guidance and for being willing to run all over the city to teach,” noted Foundation President Cara McCulloch. “It was a wonderful partnership between us and the libraries.”
