The purpose of the NMAF is to promote architectural excellence in New Mexico by stimulating public understanding and appreciation of architecture and our architectural traditions.
The NMAF gives voice to the issues and concerns of our membership and the community and access to the history, heritage and design of architecture through planned events and tours. The NMAF is a diverse representation of people in architecture, preservation, education and art. This community of diverse people is interested in the built environment and the integration of design in both the history and future of New Mexico.
The financial support of our sponsors and members allows the NMAF to contribute to student involvement, education, exhibits and publications that address an understanding and appreciation of architecture and our architectural traditions.
Our most popular activity are the Annual Architectural Tours. Since 1988, NMAF has conducted annual tours to encourage and share interest in our state’s enchanting treasures. Tours are open to the public.
